Relief Society Service Project

There will be two service projects available for sisters to help serve the community in April. Please contact Sis. Oto if you have any questions.

April 26 -  from 11:00 - 12:30 pm. There is a need for 4 to 5 people to help in the soup kitchen at the HEP shelter (between Betty Lane / Palmetto).

April 29th - There is a need for 10-15 people to help in the Thrift shop at the HEP shelter (between Betty Lane/ Palmetto). Help needed to help tag and sort items for the store.

RS Temple Trip

 Come to the Orlando Temple on March 18th. There will be two different groups going at different times. Please contact Sis. Oto if you would like to go so rides can be arranged.

Basic Self Defense Instruction

DON'T BE A VICTIM

• What is the safest way to approach my parked car?
• How do I break a hold on my arm?
• Where do I hit/kick to be most effective?
• Can I disable someone bigger/stronger than me?

Be prepared and don't Panic! Your life is worth more than your possessions!

Youth Fundraiser

Please contact Sis. Sanchez or Sis. Nebrida for more information. To purchase tickets, submit money in a Tithing envelope and mark Other -Youth Luau. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door, but you must specify a youth you are "sponsoring". They are also looking for Dessert items for donation for the auction. Items can be homemade or store bought.

Stake RS activity

Gather yourself unto Christ

The stake did such a great job feeding us both physically and spiritually. The theme was based on the picture of this mother hen gathering her chicks and the scriptures found in 3 Nephi Chapters 4-6. It talks about how the Lord will gather all who has been scattered. There are so many things that we as women gather.

In the scripture, Lay not up treasures, substitute the word Gather- Gather not up treasures. When we are having struggles, serving others will always help! 

We should gather Knowledge- We are disciples of Christ. We need to discipline ourselves to learn the truth. You have to grow your own faith, and your own testimony. Everyone has their own challenges. They will be different than anyone else's but you need to face them to gain what you to need to get from them.  

Challenges are evident in life. Embrace them and don't run away from them. They are "but for a small moment" as we read in the Doctrine and Covenants when Joseph Smith was in Liberty Jail. Sometimes you have to go through experiences to gain the knowledge you to need to go forward.
